Minister of State Health Dr Bharati Pravin Pawar said that the evaluation is still going on of Covaxin’s Covid vaccine for 2-18 age group.
“Till now Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI) has not approved it. On the experts’ decision the vaccine will be approved,” said Minister of State Health. Bharat Biotech, the manufacturer of Covaxin, has submitted data for clinical trials in the age group of 2-18 years to Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO).
The data has been thoroughly reviewed by the CDSCO and Subject Experts Committee and has provided their positive recommendations.
