UP woman accuses 2 cops of molestation, FIR lodged

A woman from Lalpur square under the Naubasta Police Station area has made allegations of molestation against two policemen who were posted for duty on Dial 112.

The accused policemen are identified as Head Constables Hariom and Sushant. The woman in her complaint accused the two policemen of entering her house and molesting her on January 03.

An FIR has been registered against the accused policemen, informed Kanpur South Additional DCP Ankita Sharma.

“A woman complained that two policemen, who were posted for duty on Dial 112 entered her house and molested her. She also accused that the policemen chased her when she tried to run away,” said Ankita Sharma.

“A case was registered after taking a statement from the victim. Both the accused policemen are being interrogated,” she added.
