Launching a direct attack on the RSS-BJP alliance and Communist Party of Kerala, Congress spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala said that the manner in which the cadres of both the parties are resorting to violence shows how the present government of Kerala has floundered the social fabric of the state.

“In a peaceful state like Kerala, for electoral gains, CPI(M) and BJP-RSS alliance are vitiating the atmosphere of Kerala”, said Surjewala.

Earlier, violence erupted in Kerala between cadres of both the parties, when a BJP legislator’s house was attacked.

The situation in Kerala has been tense after two women allegedly made their entry into Sabarimala shrine.

Since then both CPI and BJP are in a tug of war with each other.
