Security beefed up at Jama Masjid as Holi coincided with Shab-e-Barat this year

In a bid to ensure peace and security in the district, police beefed up security arrangements on March 7 in New Delhi as Holi celebrations coincided with Shab-e-Barat this year.

They also conducted a flag march in the Jama Masjid area. DCP Sanjay Kumar Sain informed that the people cooperated and all arrangements were done smoothly. He also informed us that 1000 personnel have been deployed in the area.

DCP Sanjay Kumar Sain said, “Holika Dahan and Shab-e-Barat are there today. People cooperated peacefully with the police. All arrangements were done smoothly. 1000 personnel deployed in the area.”
