Srinagar prepares to contain Omicron variant, sets up quarantine centres

In wake of the outbreak of the Covid-19 Omicron variant, the Jammu and Kashmir government is fully prepared to address any threat and is taking necessary steps to ensure it does not spread in the Valley.
The government has set up new guidelines for international travellers. It is mandatory for every international traveller to undergo RT-PCR tests at the Srinagar airport and will have to stay at least 24 hours at quarantine centres. Also, they tied up with many hotels and convert them into quarantine centres. People appreciated this initiative of Jammu and Kashmir government and are ready to welcome international tourists with the onset of winter season.
