Will talk to PM on rising momentum: Shobha on temple

Shobha Karandlaje

MP Shobha Karandlaje promised to talk to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the gaining momentum in the public in favour of Ram Mandir.

Addressing the gathering after receiving the memorandum by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) leaders at the rally organised to collect public opinion supporting the idea of construction of Ram Mandir, the MP said that the demand for the Mandir had been there for 460 years. The cry was intensified after Independence hoping that the government which took over will take it up.

“But the government ignored the issue in the name of secularism. In 1992, the Babri Masjid was demolished by the Kar Sevaks,” said Shobha.

She said that she is a devotee of Lord Ram and later a parliamentarian. She accused former Union minister Kapil Sibal and his team of advocates of postponing the hearing in the Ayodhya case in Supreme Court to January 29.

VHP Vishesh Sampark Pramukh Pranth, Manjunath Swami alleged that the religious sentiments of crores of Hindus are ignored by the Supreme Court.

The issue is pending in International court. There will not be any compromise and the only demand would be the construction of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, he declared.
