'Medieval rhetoric from a member of Epstein class': Iran mocks 'stone age' threat by Donald Trump, Pete Hegseth

Iran mocked US President Donald Trump and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth over their threats to send Tehran back to the stone age.

Replying to Hegseth on X, Iranian embassy in the United States said, "Stone Age? At a time when you were still in caves searching for fire, we were inscribing human rights on the Cyrus Cylinder. We endured the storm of Alexander and the Mongol invasions and remained; because Iran is not just a country, it is a civilization."

The US has threatened Iran of going back to the "stone ages" multiple times. President Donald Trump has referred to it in some of his posts on Truth Social, while also repeating the statements on live TV.

On the other hand, Iran has Iran has repeatedly mocked the US threats and claims on social media.

Furthermore, Iranian embassy in the UK also replied to Hegseth, saying "Medieval rhetoric from a member of the Epstein class. It’s a shame for American society that someone like this has become their voice. Our stones answer you."

On Wednesday, Trump said Iran will be hit “extremely hard" over the next two to three weeks and will be brought to the "Stone Ages”.

“Thanks to the progress we've made, I can say tonight that we are on track to complete all of America's military objections shortly. Very shortly. 
We're going to hit them extremely hard over the next two to three weeks. We're going to bring them back to the Stone Ages, where they belong," Trump said.

In reply, a spokesperson for Iran's Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters threatened to launch "stronger, wider, and more destructive" attacks against the US and Israeli forces.

"Your intelligence on our military power and equipment is incomplete. You know nothing of our vast strategic capabilities," Ebrahim Zolfaghari said in a statement.

He further warned Trump to not assume that US forces have destroyed Iranian strategic missile production sites, adding that key defence assets, including missile production facilities, long-range attack and precision drones, modern air-defence systems, electronic warfare, and electronic warfare capabilities, remain operational.

"Such assumptions will only deepen the quagmire you have fallen into," he said.
