'No one should be left alive': Iranian army chief warns of consequences of ground invasion

On Thursday, the commander-in-chief of the Iranian Armed Forces Amir Hatami said Iran will leave no one alive in case of an enemy ground operation on the territory of the Islamic Republic.

As quoted by the Tasnim News Agency, he said, "In the event of a ground operation by the enemy, no one should be left alive."

Earlier in the day, United States President Donald Trump had stated that the US will be intensifying their forces against Iran over the next two to three weeks, while claiming that the conflict is close to its conclusion.

"Over the next two to three weeks, we are going to bring them back to the Stone Ages, where they belong," he said in a televised address on Wednesday.

He also added that the American forces would achieve all battlefield objectives "very, very shortly".

The conflict in West Asia boiled into its fifth week, with leaders involve navigate through considering peace talks for descalation.
