Strait of Hormuz 'completely' open for all commercial vessels till ceasefire: Iran

Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi on Friday said that the passage ⁠for all ‌commercial ​vessels through the Strait of Hormuz is declared ​completely ⁠open for the remaining period of ceasefire, in ⁠line ‌with the ceasefire in ‌Lebanon.

The passage ⁠of vessels through the ‌strait ‌will be on ‌the coordinated ‌route as already announced by Ports ⁠and ⁠Maritime Organisation of Iran, Abbas Araqchi added in a post on ​X.

Earlier today, France and Britain announced they will chair yet another meeting later in the day of around 40 countries aimed at signalling to the United States ⁠that some of its closest allies are ready to play a role in restoring freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz ⁠once conditions allow.
