US House passes temporary funding bill to end Homeland Security shutdown

The U.S. ⁠House of ⁠Representatives late ‌on ​Friday passed legislation ​providing ⁠funding for the Department of ⁠Homeland ‌Security through ‌May ⁠22.

It faces probable ‌defeat ‌in the ‌Senate, ‌however, where Democrats are ⁠expected ⁠to oppose it.
