ZP CEO takes KRIDL engineers to task

Zilla Panchayat CEO C Satyabhama took engineers of Karnataka Rural Infrastructure Development Limited (KRIDL) to task for failing to complete the works entrusted on them.

Speaking at the monthly KDP review meeting at Zilla Panchayat, she took engineer Iftikar Delvi to task for failing to repair Shuddha Ganga drinking water unit at Chowlahiriyoor. She warned of filing a case against the negligence of KRIDL.

She said due to the negligence of the KRIDL, the works under Grama Vikasa Yojane, Suvarna Grama Yojane and Mukhyamantri Grama Vikasa Yojane have not seen any progress.

Zilla Panchayat Standing Committee on Agriculture and Industry president Mahendra said, “Poor quality of road work is being carried out at H Rangapura in M C Halli Gram Panchayat jurisdiction by the KRIDL. The concerned engineer should visit the spot and submit a report to the Zilla Panchayat.

Bicycle distribution

DDPI C Prasanna Kumar said that bicycles are yet to be distributed in Koppa and Chikkamagaluru taluks. Measures will be taken to distribute it among the beneficiary students within two days.

Zilla Panchayat President Sujatha Krishnappa urged the officials to implement all welfare programmes of the government effectively.

2 KFD cases

DHO Dr Mallikarjuna said that two persons in Koppa and Tarikere taluks have been affected with Kyasanur Forest Disease (KFD) in Chikkamagaluru.

Measures have been taken to vaccinate the residents where KFD was reported, he added.

A calendar of Swaccha Bharat Abhiyan was also released on the occasion.
