Congress president Sonia Gandhi owns assets worth over Rs 9.28 crore but she does not have any personal vehicle.

Gandhi has also given a personal loan of Rs 9 lakh to her son and party vice-president Rahul Gandhi in October last year, according to the affidavit submitted by her to the Election Commission along with her nomination papers from Raebareli Lok Sabha constituency on Wednesday.

Though Gandhi has only Rs 85,000 in cash, she has over Rs 66 lakh in her bank accounts. The congress chief also have bonds worth Rs 10 lakh and her investment in the mutual fund is to the tune of a little over Rs 82 lakh. She has also shown postal savings worth Rs 45 lakh.

Gandhi also owns jewellery and other valuable things worth over Rs 62 lakh, according to the affidavit. Her total movable assets are worth over Rs 2.81 crore.

The Congress chief also owns agricultural land worth Rs 6.5 crore. She has shown assets worth Rs 19.90 lakh in Italy in the form of inherited property.

In her affidavit filed at the time of submitting her nomination papers from Raebareli seat in 2009, Gandhi had declared Rs 75,000 in cash and Rs 28.61 lakh in bank deposit. Her mutual fund investment then was worth Rs 20 lakh. Besides, she also held RBI bonds worth Rs 12 lakh.
