The Hiriyadka Sri Veerabhadra Adi Temple is set for Punar Pratishtana and Jeernoddhara amid rituals from April 16 to 25.

Renovation committee coordinator Nataraj Hegde said that residents of seven villages visit the 800-year-old temple. The deity Veerabhadra with the goddesses is the cynosure of the eyes, while there are five Shakthis (Pancha Shakthis) on the premises. The shrines for all the Shakthis are built adjacent to the main temple arch. Nearly Rs 25 crore would be spent on the complete facelift.

The Punar Pratishtana and Jeernoddhara celebrations would be attended by more than 75,000 devotees from Boomarbettu, Atradi, Kolarbettu, Parika, Anjaru, Kananjaru and Bellampalli. The works undertaken two years ago include the mass dining hall, kitchen, Adi Nagasthana, Chamundi Gudi, Rajagopura, Ganesha Gudi. Devotes have offered silver coins for the purpose.
