India is "reauthorising" the purchase of Spike anti-tank missiles from Rafael Advanced Defence System, Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu purportedly told journalists accompanying him on his India visit.

"They are reauthorising the Spike deal," The Times of Israel quoted Netanyahu saying as his plane took off for Mumbai from Ahmedabad on Wednesday.

Just a few weeks before Netanyahu's six-day visit to India, New Delhi decided to cancel a nearly Rs 3,200 crore tender (Request for Proposal) to procure 1,600 Spike anti-tank guided missiles from state-owned Rafael Advanced Defence Systems of Israel.
