Microsoft Accelerator, an initiative to help entrepreneurs build great companies, on Thursday announced at Think Next 2016, that it is joining hands with TCS Co-Innovation Network (COIN) to provide a platform that will boost the Indian startups.

“This time, 12 startups are graduating from Summer 2016 cohort of Microsoft Accelerator. We don’t invest in startups, but facilitate by providing a platform for them,” said Ravi Narayan, Global Director, Microsoft Accelerator. Present in seven different locations, so far, close to 400 companies have been part of Microsoft Accelerator. “Of the 400, about 100 are from India,” Narayan said.

Nagaraj Ijari, VP and Global Head- Hi-Tech Industry Solutions Unit, TCS, said, “As we enter a new phase of rapid innovation and computing, companies must co-innovate and create strategic partnerships to solve challenging problems for their customers. This partnership will offer participating startups access to the expertise and client-base of both TCS and Microsoft.” Microsoft also unveiled an ebook — Timeline of Indian Startup Ecosystem, on the occasion.
