Japanese IT services provider and innovator NTT Data Corporation on Thursday announced a multi-year deal with Daimler, aiming to provide global ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) support services for the German auto behemoth.
The agreement, which is signed for a period between three and five years, will see NTT Data work closely with the Shared Services Centres of Daimler: at Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India (MBRDI), Bangalore, and Mercedes-Benz Turk, Istanbul.
NTT Data will work towards providing support service for ERP templates (running on SAP applications), the company said in a statement, without disclosing the financial scope of the agreement.
NTT Data Head (Global Automotive and Enterprise Sales) Naoshi Yoshida said, “The term of the deal will cover all template-based applications including operations, basis and development services.”
