All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) headquarters at Darussalem here erupted in celebrations after Chandryangutta MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi, arrested for his hate speech, was released after nail biting hours of delay owing to technical reasons from the Adilabad district jail on Saturday afternoon.

He was arrested by the police on January 8  and cases including sedation and waging war against the nation were slapped.

On Friday, Akbaruddin was granted conditional bail in both cases of hate speeches in Adilabad and Nizamabad.

A couple of hours after a court in Nizamabad town approved his bail, another court in Adilabad also passed orders granting him bail, clearing the decks for his release.

Adilabad first Additional District and Sessions Judge A Venkateshwar issued bail on health grounds, on conditions that Akbaruddin surrenders his passport, will not enter Nirmal town and make any provocative statements.

The court warned that his bail would be cancelled if he violated any of these conditions. The MLA's lawyers submitted two sureties of Rs 25,000 each for bringing Akbar out.
However, release orders were withheld as Akbar did not submit his passport.

The MIM leader's lawyers had submitted in both the courts that his condition was deteriorating and he needed super speciality treatment.

They also argued that police have already completed their probe.  Earlier, a court in Nizamabad approved bail for Owaisi on health grounds on a bond of Rs 10, 000 and two sureties.

Akbar Owaisi was lodged in district jail in Adilabad, 300 km from here, since Jan 8 after being arrested in a hate speech case booked against him in Nirmal town on Jan 3.
A separate case was booked in Nizamabad.
