Four persons from Bengalaru has been arrested by Mumbai Police and Maharashtra Cyber cell for the ‘Game of Thrones’ data leak.
Hotstar had approached the Special Inspector General of Police (Maharashtra Cyber) Brijesh Singh, who heads the cyber security of the state, after the data leak was detected. Accordingly a probe was launched and four persons were arrested.
The leak has been been traced to Prime Focus Technologies, the agency contracted by Star India Private Limited to manage the data.
Game of Thrones is streamed on Star India’s over the top (OTT) platform Hotstar minutes after the American telecast. Star India Private Limited and Novi Digital Private Limited had lodged the complaint.
