Taking into consideration of the welfare of the students, the Madras High Court on Tuesday directed the family-run school of actor Rajinikanth to be opened by the landowner. Ashram School, which is headed by Rajinikanth's daughter Aishwarya Dhanush, was locked by the landowner for alleged non-payment of rent.

The order came after Aishwarya Dhanush, elder daughter of Rajinikanth, filed a petition seeking to re-open the educational institution.

In addition, Aishwarya also demanded Rs 5 crore compensation from the landowner for causing defamation and another one crore rupees for wrongfully locking the school gate.

Recently, the landowner had locked the school for alleged non-payment of rental dues, forcing the school management to shift students to another institution.
