Another eatery to serve food at Rs 10 from today

People always patronise tasty and hygienic food. But the inflation had made such outings quite heavy on the pocket. However, recently, many affordable eateries, including the Indira Canteen of the state government, are coming up. Hotel Arpana is a new addition to the band.

Scheduled to open on Friday, Arpana is located at Sharadadevi Nagar in the city.

The restaurant plans to offer its customers a wide range of savouries at just Rs 10. They have items like dosa, pulao, and rice bath on the menu. Sundays would be special with additional non-veg dishes, which may cost from Rs 35 to 65.

While most of such eateries, especially in the neighbouring Mandya district, are started by supporters of political leaders such as former prime minister H D Deve Gowda, former MP Ramya and also Ravi Kumar Gowda Ganiga, an upcoming leader. Arpana is an initiative of a non-political team, headed by Sandil Kumar.

"Arpana aims to serve the society by offering affordable and quality food to the residents of Mysuru," Sandil Kumar said.

Sumanth Yadav, an entrepreneur, also part of the team, said, "This restaurant itself is a dedication to Mysureans. Hence it is named 'Arpana'. We are planning to expand and open more outlets in other parts of the city in future."
