2 B'luru students awarded 'Top in World' by CIE

Two city students have been awarded the ‘Top in World’ by Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) in the IGSCE, AS Level and ‘A’ level examinations conducted in November 2015, March 2016 and June 2016, respectively.

Ananya Poddar from Mallya Aditi International School received the award for Sociology in the International ‘A’ Level examination, while Vibha Rohilla from Greenwood High School got the award for Additional Mathematics in the IGCSE examination. Poddar, who also had Mathematics, Economics, Geography and English Language and Literature, is now a freshman at Brown University, USA.

Poddar and Rohilla are among 41 students from India who have achieved the ‘Top in World’ status by securing highest score in individual subjects.

A total of 18 students from Bengaluru made it to the list of 101 students who were ‘Top in Country’. The students are from Vidyashilp Academy, Inventure Academy, Mallya Aditi International School, Treamis International School, The International School Bangalore (TISB), Greenwood High School, Indus International School and Innisfree House School. All toppers will be recognised for their academic achievements with an Outstanding Cambridge Learner certificate.
