Dr H Ravikumar, medical superintendent, K C General Hospital said all children are stable and have recovered considerably.

“We will keep them under observation for another day. At least 13 would be discharged on Friday,” he added.

Late on Wednesday night, 20 people from Sanjay Gandhi Nagar slum near Sheshadripuram were rushed to different hospitals in the city after they consumed leftover haal khovas (sweets made of milk) sold by a woman. The woman, who worked at a convention hall as a cleaner, would bring leftover food and sell it to slum-dwellers.

Dr Ravikumar said the reports of the food samples that were sent for examination to the Food Safety Department are still awaited.
