The association president and former minister M H Ambareesh told media persons that it was the late legendary actor, Rajkumar's dream of the association to have its own building. "It never materialised due to many hurdles. Now, we are satisfied that we have made it a reality," he said.

The actor turned politician said that though the association was allotted a site for the building, work could not be taken up as some people took the matter to the court.

He said it took three ministers, including himself, to give the project a push to begin.

Primary and Secondary Education Minister Tanveer Sait, actors Shivarajkumar, Puneeth Rajkumar, Jaggesh and others were present.
