BBMP takes out awareness rally against dengue

Following an increase in number of dengue and chikungunya cases in city, the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) took out an awareness rally on Tuesday.

Palike workers, Accredited Social Health Activists (Asha), members of BBMP standing committee on health, schoolchildren and nursing students from across the city took part in the rally that passed through Kempegowda Road, Majestic, City Railway Station and surrounding areas.

Pamphlets educating public about disease control measures and BBMP helpline were distributed during the rally.

A dollu kunitha performance and a magic show by Nagendra Prasad were added attractions.

A similar rally was taken out on June 18 at Madiwala checkpost, Siddharthanagar, Tavarekere and surrounding areas.
