The Bangalore Metropolitan Task Force (BMTF) started its encroachment removal drive on Tuesday in rain-affected areas.
According to complaints lodged by residents, the drive was conducted in Koramangala, JP Nagar, Shanthinagar, Mahadevapura and Bellandur where there were encroachments on rajakaluves, lakes and government lands.
“The encroachment removal drive in rain-affected areas began on Tuesday based on complaints by residents. Apart from this, we have also identified a few places where there have been encroachments. We will take action against them,” said Lakshmi Ganesh, superintendent of police, BMTF.
