Continuing its enforcement, the Transport Department on Thursday conducted an intensive drive in HSR Layout, BTM Layout, Silk Board junction and surrounding areas in the city against taxis and cabs - operated by aggregators - which violated permit conditions.
These cabs were booked for plying without carrying valid documents like emission test and insurance certificates, defective number plates, non-payment of taxes among others.
More than 1,500 vehicles were checked and over 200 cabs booked and seized during the drive, the transport department sources told Deccan Herald.
