An elderly man was killed after a car mowed him down on 5th main road in Kempapura, Hebbal on Sunday morning. The deceased was Gopal Raj, 70.
According to the police, the accident occurred when the victim was riding a bicycle and the suspect Manjusha (20), who was driving the car, failed to control it and hit the bicycle from behind.
The victim fell down and sustained massive head injuries. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival. The police have detained the woman and seized the car.
