Citizens clean Allalasandra lake

 Members of the Yelahanka United Environment Association (YUVA) cleaned the Allalasandra lake on Sunday as part of their ‘Walk for Environment’ activity. Over 100 residents of Yelahanka participated in the drive.

In addition to this, 150 bags of limestone were added at the sewage water pump inlet from the stormwater drain located at Judicial Layout and Yelahanka 4th Stage.

Jagadish Giri, Secretary, YUVA said that the idea was suggested to them by G P S Rao, a professor from the University of Agricultural Sciences. S R Vishwanath, Yelahanka MLA who took part in the programme, decided that the lake needed to be fumigated for weed control.
