Chief Minister Siddaramaiah flagged-off an 'E-mobility awareness campaign' by launching electric vehicles in the Vidhana Soudha premises on Saturday.

Speaking at the event, the Medium & Heavy Industries Minister, R V Deshpande said that the state government is planning a programme to use electric vehicles for schools and colleges.

"It is the first time in the country that electric-vehicles are being encouraged to conserve fuel energy. We can also reduce the sound and air pollution by using electric vehicles. But we have to create awareness about this among people," he said.
