A two day All-India management fest, ‘Perceptions 2015’, was recently held at MS Ramaiah Institute of Management (MSRIM). Ranjita Rao, the Assistant General Manager of Resources in HDFC, was the chief guest while H Muralidharan, the Dean of the institute, delivered the welcome address.

The theme of the event was in tune with today’s digital and technology driven era and was named as ‘Digitize your Senses’. There were various managerial events but the highlights were ‘Best Manager’, ‘Treasure Hunt’ and ‘Mad-Ads’, where a lot of interesting and challenging tasks were thrown to the participants. More than 20 business colleges from the City participated for the events and a flash mob was also presented by students of MSRIM.

The  second day also witnessed a grand cultural event with there sub events, ‘Star of Perceptions’, ‘Group Dance’ and ‘Fashion Show’. ‘Star of Perceptions’ saw exuberant talents from various colleges and the group dance added cheer to a serious atmosphere. The judges of cultural events were Sandalwood actors Aishwarya Nag and Arun Gowda, who interacted with the audience and danced on a number from their upcoming film which filled the campus with excitement and zest. This was followed by RJ Guru who took the stage and conducted many small games.

However, the fashion show was the highlight which brightened the day with Ravi Chetan, a Sandalwood actor and Jayanthi Ballal, a renowned designer, as the judges. The two-day fest concluded with a valedictory session and the winners were awarded cash prizes, certificates and vouchers. A feedback session was also held where participants spoke about their experience.

It was a successful two-day fest which gave wonderful memories and great lessons to students and the management. The entire function was co-ordinated by Swati Basu, faculty coordinator.
