An engineering student, who was injured in a road accident, succumbed to his injuries on Saturday.
Drupad G (21), a final-year student of JSS College and a resident of Jayanagar, was critically injured in the accident on Uttarahalli Main Road near the institute of nursing on Wednesday.
He was shifted to BGS Global Hospital for treatment, but he failed to respond to the treatment.
The victim’s family members complained that he fell down and sustained injuries while negotiating a pothole.
However, the police claimed that the stretch where the accident occurred was neatly asphalted recently. Drupad collided with a truck, fell down and was injured, said a senior police officer.
