Bengaluru Development Minister K J George toured several parts of the city in the early hours of Friday to inspect the pothole-filling drive of the BBMP.

The minister, accompanied by Mayor R Sampath Raj and BBMP commissioner N Manjunath Prasad, started the inspection at 2 am on Friday from Basaveshwara Circle.

The team visited Windsor Manor Bridge, the stretch from Mehkri Circle to Sanjaynagar, Sanjaynagar Main Road, New BEL Road, BEL Circle, below Hebbal flyover, BEL Main Road via BEL factory, Gangammagudi Circle, MS Palya, Vidyaranyapura, Hebbal and Thanisandra. The inspection ended at 3.45 am.

George also visited some areas where the Python pothole filling machine was deployed.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah had recently set a 15-day deadline for the BBMP to fill all potholes after bad roads claimed five lives in the city. The mayor and the BBMP commissioner have also been monitoring the work day and night.
