Former prime minister H D Deve Gowda came down heavily on the Congress regime accusing Chief Minister Siddaramaiah of regularising ‘akrama’ houses to gain popularity.

“During his term as chief minister, H D Kumaraswamy had decided to build layouts for ‘D’ Group employees at Lingadheeranahalli in Herohalli. Now, those who paid for the sites, including my driver Vasant, are not getting anything. This is because the sites have been given to people who are not eligible,” he said.

Gowda said many people have been deceived and put to hardship. “I want the government to ensure that ‘D’ Group employees are not made to suffer,” he added.
