The Karnataka Rajya Raitha Sangha (KRRS) and Hasiru Sene have opposed the plans of the Palike to identify a site in Doddaballapur taluk for disposing garbage.
Addressing a press meet on Monday, KRRS president Kodihalli Chandrashekhar said that garbage from the City was already being dumped at Cheerenahalli, Huskuru and Gundlahalli in Doddaballapur taluk and they do not want one more landfill in the taluk.
“Palike officers and City In-charge Minister Ramalinga Reddy have inspected lands in survey numbers 63 and 64 in Anjanamurthy Nagar and Kareem Sonnenahalli villages of Doddaballapur for dumping garbage,” he said.
