Bengaluru received light showers on Friday, recording 0.4 mm of rainfall till 9 pm.

The maximum and minimum temperatures were 31.6 and 19.7 ° Celsius, respectively.

The Met department has forecast thunder activity followed by sudden, short spells of   rain over the city and parts of south interior Karnataka for the next two to three days.

IMD Bengaluru director incharge Sunder M Metri attributed the rain to a trough of low over the southwest Bay of Bengal the Southeast Arabian Sea off the Kerala coast.
