An exhibition of illustrations in the inimitable style of Bangalore artist Paul Fernandes, ‘Bangalore Swinging in the ‘70s’, will be inaugurated on April 23, 6.30 pm at Goethe-Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan.

The exhibition will be on display from April 24 to May 7, 12.30 pm to 6.30 pm.

His book ‘Bangalore Swinging in the ‘70s’ is a collector’s item and a source of entertaining nostalgia.

Other views of Bangalore and how it has morphed in the last few decades will enhance the evening.

There will also be urbanist/activist/creative entrepreneur and architect Naresh Narasimhan’s ascerbic observations on the city, a photo feature by Shibu Arakkal on his dream home in Bangalore, followed by a sound/video/voice-based rendition of ‘Swinging Through the ‘70s’ by Sandeep Madhavan and Nirmala Govindarajan along with Paul Fernandes.

Verena Gerlach, graphic designer and resident at Jaaga will make a presentation on book design and Prashasti Rastogi, director, GBO on The German Book Office.

Entry is free.
