Mahatma Gandhi keeps reappearing in our lives in various avatars — paintings, sculptures, photographs and more.

But Bengalurean Gayatri DSouza, who is an active origamian, has brought back the ‘Father of the Nation’ in a unique way — she has made an origami model of Gandhi from a 35 cm square piece of paper, which is brown on one side and white on the other. It has no cuts and uses no glue.

The simple yet intricate model has been turned inside out and has ingeniously replicated him.

The model was selected to be exhibited at the International Origami Fair in Japan and Gayatri has received acclaim for it in India and overseas.
