About 30 patients were rescued from a government hospital in Kaggalipura near Uttarahalli in Bangalore Rural on Sunday morning.

After the heavy rains that lashed the city on Saturday night, the government hospital here was flooded and the patients and doctors were stranded for about 7-8 hours. It was only at 7 am in the morning when the water started receding.

The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) team rescued the patients and shifted them to another hospital nearby.

Several houses in the area were also inundated with rainwater.
