The City's Nepalese community is devastated as many have lost their family members, friends and property to the earthquake that has reduced their country to rubble. 

About 1,000 Nepalese students kick started a fund rising campaign on Sunday to help their countrymen.

The group managed to raise about 40, 000 rupees on day one. They will continue to raise funds and arrange blood donation campaigns.

Meanwhile, you can also send your contributions to the relief fund launched by Deccan Herald and Prajavani for the victims of Nepal earthquake.

Contributions can be made through cheques or bank drafts, drawn in the favor of Deccan Herald and Prajavani Relief Trust and send it to our office at #75, MG Road, Bengaluru 560001.

Please superscribe the envelope with Deccan Herald-Prajavani Relief Fund. Names of those contributing Rs 1000 and above will be published in the newspapers.
