Smoked fish and mustard salad

As Olive Beach steps into its tenth year, the elegant old villa transforms itself into a stunning venue with a new alfresco lounge bar and a spacious yet intimate dining space. The menu offers a variety of New Mediterranean cuisine designed by chef Manu Chandra. One can enjoy a relaxing lunch in the sun-dappled courtyard or a romantic dinner for two under the stars. Opt for a private dinner at ‘The Table for Eight’ with its intimate Tuscan Kitchen, offering menus using seasonal produce and exotic ingredients customised by the chefs.

Apart from a range of cocktails, the menu here offers many surprises. Start your meal with an option between Greek spinach, bathua and garlic soup; smoked tomato soup; seafood veloute; Moroccan harira with lamb and onion soup with sage and gruyere.

Salads here include caesar salad,  ‘thessaloniki’ (which is a Greek salad) or smoked fish and mustard salad to name a few.

A range of pastas (like tagliatelle in autumn, smoked salmon linguine, gnocchi with brown butter sauce, sage and parmesan), rissotos (like tomato and broccoli piccante and coconut milk and prawn and pizzas (chicken piccante, spinach and goat cheese and spicy salami, bacon and dry fennel) make for a great main course.

The emphasis is on freshness and quality of ingredients with some of the new dishes including chicken live parfait, three little pigs, grilled figs and orange salad; a selection of wood-fired pizzas, saffron gnocchetti, Snicker bar v.3, the Olive Beach version of the classic cassata and more.

Olive Beach is open all days of the week. It is located at 16, Wood Street, Ashok Nagar. For reservations, call 41128400 or 9945565483.
