Fashion and wedding photography is his forte. At the young age of 20, he has captured and created memorable moments for many individuals.

Anish Mohan, a student of St Joseph’s College, is a budding photographer from the City who has worked with many South Indian actors and lifestyle magazines.

“I am a fashion photographer, and have done shoots for many actors and actresses in the South. I also work on a lot of outdoor portfolios for fashion calendars,” says Anish.
Born and brought up in the City, he has been in this profession for quite some time now but continues to explore the field.

He recalls his first professional click — for a fashion calendar in 2013 — and says, “I am based in Bengaluru and I work with the ‘Richard Anthony Photography’ team which has given me a lot of opportunities to travel to places as well as explore and experiment with my photography skills.” On whether he keeps his photographs natural or uses photo editing softwares to make it look more attractive, he says, “I keep most of my photos natural. It is only when some images are not all that great that I edit them using softwares like PhotoShop to give them a better finish.”

His passion for photography grew four years back when he worked as a light stand holder while assisting his cousin. He explains, “I got into photography when I worked with my cousin as a light stand holder. I used to see them work with the camera and slowly started observing how it actually works. Thereafter, I got interested in the field and it eventually became my passion and today it is my profession.”

What makes him different is, “Photography is all about creativity and lots of thoughts. It has to be something out-of-the-box. Having a DSLR is a common sight these days, but what is important and matters most is how creative and experimental one can get with the device. I feel my skills, thoughts and my framing makes me stand apart in this field.”
He is self-taught and says his observation skills and interest in learning new things have helped him shape his passion into a profession.

He looks up to Auditya Venkatesh, who is popularly known as ‘Audi Photography’, as his inspiration.

He says, “Auditya is my biggest inspiration when it comes to photography. I want to reach his level one day.

His creativity is outstanding, especially his candid shots, and I love looking at his clicks. That’s what lacks in me and I want to learn and work more on it.” The framing of a photograph is his main element and that he says motivates him to take another
picture.

On what is in his mind when clicking a photograph, he says, “The thought that comes to my mind when clicking a picture is that we are all different from each other and the vision that we see inside the lens is what makes us unique and that’s what should be seen in the image I click.”
