Rape suspect falls from 4th floor in bid to flee

A prime accused in a Pocso case fell down from the fourth floor of the ACMM court building while he was trying to escape and sustained severe injuries on Saturday evening.

Narasimha Murthy (21), was shifted to a hospital with multiple injuries. The incident occurred around 5.30 pm when the police were bringing him down from a court hall on the fourth floor, said the police.

The police arrested Murthy on Friday and produced him before the court on Saturday. The judge remanded him in judicial custody for 12 days. He is one of the four accused in the rape of a minor girl from Bagalgunte.
