BonSouth is offering a special menu on offer on the occasion of ‘Sankranthi’, the joyous festival celebrated with much fervour in South India.

 The special menu, which is on offer on January 14 and 15, is the creation of chef Manu Nair, who has crafted the delightful menu after visiting many South Indian houses
to recreate the authenticity of traditional ‘Sankranthi’ fare.

The restaurant will be decorated with flower hangings, sugarcane, banana plants and ‘rangoli’ at the entrance to signify the celebration.

 The lunch would have specialities like ‘Tayir Wada’, ‘Poosankikkai Varuval’, ‘Podi Idly’, ‘Mokkajuna Kerai Wada’, garlic pickle ‘Paniyaram’, ‘Pookasu Porichathu’, ‘Urugai Paneer’, ‘Kadambam Sambar’, ‘Kai Kari Mandi’, ‘Parinkikai Mochai Perattal’, ‘Paal Katti’ ‘Vengayathal Masala’, ‘Molai’, ‘Payir Koz­hambu’, ‘Ven Pongal’,  ‘Ma­dukar Naikar Pulao’, ‘Par­atha’, ‘Appam’ to name a few.

 Traditional desserts like ‘Sharkara Pongal’, ‘Parrippu Payasam’ along with ‘Elaneer Payasam’, ‘Gulab Jamun’ and many more desserts would be part of the special menu. You can round it off with a cup of steaming filter coffee. The ‘Sankranti’ veg buffet for lunch and dinner would cost Rs 650 all inclusive.

 BonSouth is located at 131, 1st Cross, Koramangala 5th Block, Jyoti Nivas College Road. The timing is from 12 noon to 3.30 pm  and from 7 pm to 11 pm.
