The city received moderate rainfall on Friday evening leading to waterlogging, tree falls and traffic snarls in some areas.

Roads in BTM Layout, Koramangala and HSR Layout were inundated with two feet of water. However, the situation was not as bad as on Thursday.

Most working professionals were caught unawares as it began to rain heavily in the evening. Most people preferred the Metro and autorickshaws since driving on waterlogged roads was difficult.

Waterlogging was also reported in areas like Majestic, Shanthinagar, Jayanagar, Koramangala, HSR Layout, Madiwala, Silk Board Junction, Hebbal, Yeshwantpur and Malleswaram.

Around 20 complaints of waterlogging and uprooted trees were received at Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) control room.

Two huge trees were uprooted in JP Nagar, Jeevan Bima Nagar and Jayanagar but no one was injured.

Traffic was slow in areas like Bengaluru Dairy Circle, Hosur Road, Koramangala, Okalipuram, Malleswaram Link Road, Mehkri Circle, Hudson Circle, Sony World junction, ITPL Road, Mysuru Road, Kalasipalyam, Hebbal and Tumakuru Road.
