Stray dogs attacked two children, Martanda, 6, and Mylari, 3, near their house at BTS Layout in Arakere on Wednesday evening.

While one of them was bitten on the left ear, the other has suffered injuries on the scalp and face. They both have been admitted to the Kempe Gowda Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) for treatment. According to Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) sources, they have been administered anti-rabies vaccine.

Parvez Ahmed Piran, Joint Director (Animal Husbandry), BBMP, said a special group of officials had been assigned the task of locating the dog and finding out whether it is rabid. He added that the children would be taken to Banashankari Referral Hospital for further treatment.
