A 24-year-old private company employee was mowed down by a water tanker at Lakshmi Layout at Garvebhavipalya on Hosur Road on Tuesday.
The deceased, Saikumar, an MBA graduate, hailed from Andhra Pradesh. The accident occurred around 8.30 am when he was heading to his office on a bike. The water tanker hit him from behind near St Mary’s School. He fell down and was run over by the tanker. He died due to injuries, police said. Ramesh, the water tanker driver, has been arrested for causing death due to reckless driving.
