On the occasion of International Women's Day, many organisations are celebrating the strength, talent and prowess of their women employees by dedicating the day to them.
Some such companies have gone the extra mile to make their employees feel special on this day.
Sangita Gupta, Head of HR and administration at Furlenco, says "We have approximately 38 women employees working with us and are all set to celebrate this day and let them know how we feel about them. We have planned an experience for each one of them. All the women employees will be gifted personalised cards signed by their colleagues and seniors. There is also an experiential beauty service by professionals that we plan to provide in our workspace. Along with boxes of goodies and special snacks, a chance to interact with the CEO is also included in our day-long celebration," Sangita elaborates.
With an idea to reciprocate the commitment of women employees, Furlenco has also started a referral drive for women on the occasion of Women's Day.
Sangita highlights that being a homocentric company, they have always encouraged women who have left to rejoin the company.
They believe that their women employees are much diligent in their work.
As part of Women's Day celebrations, at 'Rentprop4u', a training programme for all women employees is scheduled on March 13 at Guhantara.
Through this programme, the company looks forward to helping women employees expand their network and increase efficiency by giving wings to their entrepreneurial dreams.
Asha M, co-founder, Rentprop4u, says, "This initiative is not aimed at enhancing their current work profile but to go beyond and equip them with a skill that has become vital these days. The startup ecosystem of Bengaluru has prompted many women to plunge into entrepreneurship. With digital marketing skills, we can empower women with decision-making in all areas like networking, branding, communication and marketing."
She adds, "This apart, to celebrate womanhood, we have also planned an all-girls outing at Guhantara during the second half of the day. This is to energise ourselves with fun activities away from the workspace."
Women's Day is special for Neha Bagaria, founder and CEO, 'JobsForHer', and her women employees for many reasons.
"Firstly, as a space devoted to women in the workplace, it is important for us to open up and give more opportunities to women who want to get back to work. Secondly, we launched the company on Women's Day three years back, which makes this day all the more special," says Neha.
On the occasion of Women's Day, the company launched a foundation called 'INKHer' in collaboration with INK.
This foundation aims to create skilling, mentoring and positive role-modelling for women in India to bridge gender gaps.
"'JobsForHer' will announce a 'Flexi-track' policy on Women's Day through which employees of our team will be able to take a month off to work part-time or just take a sabbatical. Their compensation will be revised accordingly during the flexi-track duration," says Neha.
There is also an off-site trip and a get-together organised for the women employees today.
