A Bengaluru-based youth drowned in a check dam at Chikkalur village here on Sunday.
The deceased has been identified as Preetham (24), a resident of Frazer Town in Bengaluru, who was working in a call centre. Preetham and his friends had come to his farmhouse in Narasipur on Saturday and they visited the dam on Sunday noon. Preetham met a watery grave at around 3.30 pm.
Police and expert divers are searching for his body.
