Speaking on the occasion, BSP District President K T Radhakrishna said that it was a inhumane act that an 18-year-old physically challenged Dalit girl and her father were killed by setting them on fire just for a silly reason that their dogs barked at an upper cast member. “The incident is a disgrace to the secular system of our nation,” he criticised and alleged that the incident was a part of an organised conspiracy of casteists to eradicate secular system from our nation. Secular organisations should join hands to fight against such inhumane and anti-secular movements, Radhakrishna said.

The Haryana Chief Minister, who failed to prevent such incidents, should own up the responsibility and resign from the post, he demanded. Those miscreants should be nabbed and should be brought before the law, he added.  Leader Velayudhan said that the Haryana incident is a testimony to the fact that the communal forces are gaining control over government. Downtrodden people will be free from all tortures, only if they secure political power through unity, he said. “The soft stand of the government towards communal organisations was the reason for recurrence of atrocities against downtrodden class in India,” he added.

BSP State In-Charge Committee Secretary G K Basavaraju, Leaders Eshwar, Srinivas and Gangadhar were present.
