Car hits bridge wall, driver escapes unhurt

A car driver miraculously escaped after hitting the parapet wall of a bridge in Malleswaram late on Friday night.

Due to the collision, debris of the wall fell on a four-wheeler parked near a house.

Both the vehicles were damaged in the incident, police said.

According to the police, the accident occurred around 12.30 am when the driver was on his way from Malleswaram to Navarang Circle.

The traffic police rushed to the spot and safely towed the car on to the road, the police said.

Vimalesh, the owner of the four-wheeler, has lodged a complaint with the police.

The police have seized the car and booked its owner under Section 279 (rash driving or riding on a public way) of the Indian Penal Code.

They have also approached the transport authorities to identify the owner of the car.
